All proceeds of this event will go towards supporting our work with partner charity Prolepsis/Diatrofi providing daily meals to schoolchildren in impoverished areas of Greece. The situation is so dire for many of these children that their school lunch is the only meal that they will receive on a daily basis.

THI Canada’s grant, with a matching donation from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, has already provided 130,000 meals to students suffering from food insecurity and hunger. THI Canada’s further contribution of $50,000 provided food for 450 students for the 2018-2019 school year and the support continues for the next school year.

THI Canada is continuing to support and provide meals to students in need for the school year 2019-2020 by working with Prolepsis/Diatrofi and a further grant of $50,000 CAD. The following schools participated in the DIATROFI Program with the grant provided by THI Canada (all students attending each school received the meal on a daily basis)

1. Κindergarten of Sageika: 30 students
2. Elementary school of Sageika: 140 students
